Cul de Sax features the major members
of the saxophone family - soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone - played with style by professional musicians.
Cul de Sax has been featured in numerous concerts and resorts in Maine, including Inn by the Sea,
Sebasco Estates, the Spruce Point Inn, and The Balsams. It has played for audiences at the Portland
Museum of Art, the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, and the Portland Conservatory of Music. The quartet
has performed with the Mid-Coast Chamber Orchestra and for a reception at the Governor’s Mansion.
The event honoring the 40th Anniversary of the Maine Chapter of the NAACP where Coretta Scott King was the
guest speaker included a performance by Cul de Sax. L.L. Bean is a long time corporate client.
The quartet was invited to play in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. Navy Saxophone Symposium.
In 2009, Cul de Sax played in Boston for the arrival of the "Tall Ships". That same year the
quartet put together a special concert called "Easy MoneyHard Times" featuring music
pertaining to the economic environment.
While Cul de Sax plays for weddings, parties, openings and other special events, it also performs
in concert. Over the years Cul de Sax has played themed concerts in various concert series.
